Advanced Instructor Training

The Advanced Instructor has trained for further open water instructional techniques, dive organisation and leadership, and boat diving.

Candidates who are Advanced Divers need to attend the Advanced Instructor Course (AIC), pass a Theory Knowledge Exam (AIT) and pass the 2-day Advanced Instructor Exam (AIE).

Advanced Instructor Course

Minimum Qualification: Advanced Diver and Open Water Instructor (OWI)

Course Aims: The two day Advanced Instructor Course (AIC) furthers the skills of an OWI with practical instructional techniques from different platforms and more advanced structuring. A higher level of classroom delivery is also taught.

Advanced Instructor Theory Exam

Minimum Qualification: Advanced Diver, Open Water Instructor (OWI) and must have attended an Advanced Instructor Course (AIC)

Course Aims: The one day Advanced Instructor Theory Exam (AIT) assesses students in BOTH delivering a classroom presentation and in their diving knowledge.

Advanced Instructor Exam
